Lock for Life: Secure Storage, Safer Communities

As part of The Great Give Back, the library is asking community members to carefully consider locking up their guns. The library is offering free gun locks to individuals age 18 and older. The program promotes safe firearm storage and raises awareness of the connection between firearm access and suicide prevention, particularly among Veterans. A gun lock is a simple tool that can help limit immediate access to a firearm during a crisis. Pick up your free gun lock at the library’s Reference Desk and learn more about safe storage and Veterans’ suicide prevention resources. Locks are available while supplies last.
