Annie Porter Ainsworth Memorial Library
Fall Coat Drive
October 18th from 10:00 – 1:00
Ainsworth Memorial Library will be holding a fall coat drive. The library will be accepting donations of gently used coats for all ages and in all sizes. Please drop your coats off at the library. The collected coats will then be distributed to those in need in our community.
There is no registration. Anyone can drop off used coats.
Cape Vincent Community Library
Diaper Drive
September 2nd – October 18th
Help us keep little ones happy and healthy! 🍼
From Sept. 1 – Oct. 18, all Oswego County Libraries are collecting diapers for our Great Give Back project. Every donation goes straight to the Oswego County Diaper Bank to support local families in need. Drop off your contribution at any Oswego County Library and make a big difference for our smallest neighbors!
Diaper Drive for Oswego County Diaper Bank
September 2nd – October 17th
We will be a collection site for diapers to benefit the Oswego County Diaper Drive. All new, unused diapers would be appreciated, original packaging not needed.
No registration required, anyone can donate during our business hours.
Used Book Sale to Benefit Library CareKits
October 18th from 10:00 – 3:00
All ages
Come shop our annual used book sale! All proceeds go toward providing CareKits in member libraries. We will also be accepting donations of hygiene items during the event.

Turin Library “Gives-Back” by Celebrating Old Friends!
October 23rd from 6:00 – 9:00
Join us for cider, donuts and other snacks as the library celebrates The Great Library Give-Back! We’ll have the historical DVDs playing, the old scrapbooks out, old papers, old fashioned kids crafts, and even an “old time” photo booth! After all….. Our town is 225 years old! Great for young and old! Stop in for a minute, or stay for awhile!!!

Blessing Bags
October 1st – November 15th
Join us for a heartwarming community event aimed at spreading kindness and support to those in need. Our Blessing Bags Collection Drive is an opportunity to come together and make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in our local area. We are collecting essential items to create “Blessing Bags” that will provide much-needed relief and comfort to our neighbors facing challenges. Items collected will include: Gloves & Mittens, Hats, Socks, Toothpaste & Tooth Brushes, Deodorant, Small First Aid Kits, Non-Perishable Snacks, and Handmade Cards.
Registration is not required. Donations will be accepted in person at the library, at partner businesses in the areas, as well as via amazon using a Wishlist created for the project.

Winter Coat Drive

Please drop off your gently used coats for our Library’s Winter Coat Drive. All ages and sizes are welcome.

Paws and Pages: Pet Supply Drive and Free Book Giveaway!
October 16th-21st from 10:00am-2:00pm

The Central Square Library will be hosting a Paws and Pages week-long event! This event will consist of a pet supply drive for Oswego County animal rescues and shelters as well as a FREE book giveaway! The Library needs your help to share the FREE books throughout the community in Little Free Libraries, nursing homes, senior centers, assisted living facilities and other organizations in need! Book Recycling and Pet Adoption Event
October 21st from 9:00am-3:00pm

Book recycling and pet adoption event! Bring your hardcovers and paperbacks to recycle and check out some animals that will be available for adoption. Donations for local pet adoptions agencies will also be accepted. Refreshments will be available on a first come, first serve basis!
