Adams Free Library

Giving to Those in Need

People are asked to bring us non-perishable food items, new personal hygiene items or just a few dollars that will all be donated to the Rohde Center. You don’t have to be a patron of the library to attend.
No registration is required. Just come with some items to donate to our local food pantry.

Annie Porter Ainsworth Memorial Library

Ainsworth Memorial Library Coat Drive
October 19th

Give the gift of warmth this winter! Ainsworth Memorial Library is collecting winter coats for all ages and sizes in good condition for its coat drive on October 19th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. We will be distributing coats to anyone who visits our library from October 21st- 26th. Registration not required.

Cape Vincent Community Library

The Great Give Back at Cape Vincent Community Library

Looking for a way to give back to your community?
Join the Cape Vincent Community Library as we participate in “The Great Give Back”.

At our library there will be a donation box for children’s books that we will deliver to the “Little Free Libraries” we sponsor in our community. We will also be collecting warm winter coats, hats, scarfs and gloves which will be donated to the local food pantry and we will have a table with stationary and blank cards for participants to write thank you notes to our local first responders, veterans and active members in the armed forces. We will also have paper, markers and crayons available for children to draw or color pictures for us to send with the cards and notes we collect.

Children, teens and adults are welcome and encouraged to participate in our program. It is designed to be open house style so you can come anytime between 10am and 12pm and stay for as little or as long as you’d like. If you are interested in participating but Saturday does not work for you, please feel free to stop into the library anytime during normal business hours the week of October 14-19 and we will add your contribution to our final collection on Saturday!

Dexter Free Library

Give Back with the Caring Crafters

For ages 15 & up
Join us and our “Caring Crafters” and see how we are using our talents to enrich the lives of others. Current projects include: Foster Care to Success Red Scarf project, lap blankets, pillowcases and more. Completed items will be displayed and attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about them from our crafters.
Registration is not required.

Donations of new or unused yarn and cotton fabrics will be accepted.

Lisbon Hepburn Library

Library Paint and Giveback Day

Help us paint the library in preparation for our 100-year anniversary! Volunteers needed to give us a fresh coat of paint! Don’t like to paint? We need help moving books and furniture too!
Want to give back to the community in other ways? Drop off a non-perishable food item as we help kick off the season of giving for Lights on the River!

Lyme Free Library

The Great Give Back at Lyme Free Library

Looking for a way to give back to your community? Please join the Lyme Free Library as we participate in “The Great Give Back”.  We will be collecting new children’s books on October 19th from 10 am to 4 pm. The books will be distributed to children ages 1 to 12 in The Town of Lyme during the Holidays. If you cannot take part on the 19th, please feel free to drop off books during business before December 10th.
No registration required.

Massena Public Library

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Help your neighbors in need by donating personal hygiene items at Massena Public Library from October 1-31. the Library will distribute donated items to our community pantries. Patrons who donate personal hygiene items during the month of October will have their library fines waived.

Ogdensburg Public Library

Library Give Back Day for the SPCA

Library Give Back is the Ogdensburg Public Library’s way of helping a community organization. We will be collecting items for our local St. Lawrence Valley SPCA.

Theresa Free Library

Food For Fines
Saturday, October 19th – Saturday, October 26th

For all ages
Clean out your cupboards and pay your overdue fines October 19th-26th at the Theresa Free Library! Library patrons can pay overdue feels and help stock our local food pantry during our first annual Food for Fines event. We want our items back! Overdue items must be returned for fines to be deducted. Donations cannot be used to pay for lost or damaged materials, and can only be used to pay for fines on Theresa Free Library materials. Patrons who do no have fines are welcome to donate items, too! Please call the library at 315-628-5972 or visit us online at for more information.
