  • Celebrating 2024

The Great Give Back 2024 took place on Saturday, October 19th and we wanted to share the amazing work patrons of New York libraries achieved this year! One hundred and fourteen libraries (out of two hundred and seventy five participating libraries) filled out the follow-up survey to share the impact they made in their communities. This year, almost 6000 patrons offered their time and efforts to create positivity at their libraries. Close to 20,000 items were donated throughout the state! The numbers are impressive and we are so grateful to both library staff members and patrons who came together to make The Great Give Back the amazing event it has been over the last eight years. Thank you!

  • 186 and counting!

So far we have 186 libraries across New York ready to host opportunities for patrons to give back! As we get closer to October 19th we know more and more libraries will be joining us. If you want to see if your library has signed on to be a part of The Great Give Back you can check the list (divided by county) or the map! We hope to see you at your local library this fall!
