Leave it in our \u201cmailbox,\u201d and we\u2019ll deliver it to Brighton First Responders on Monday, October 28 for National First Responders Day. FTAC strives to be an advocate for the community of North Clinton Avenue. Through their work, they embody our values of dignity, respect, and love while providing much-needed assistance and advocacy for those who need it. A receptacle will be available inside the library to collect the toys. Toys for Tots aims to serve underserved children during the holiday season.<br>The program is open to all and no prior registration is required.<br>Penfield Public Library is open every day. Cameron Community Ministries is an Urban Outreach Community Center in the Lyell-Otis Neighborhood of Rochester, NY. We will collect travel size items that will be put into hygenie bags and distributed by Cameron.<br>Donations will be collected in the children&#8217;s center.<br>Items needed: feminine hygiene products, deodorant, soap, soap holder, wash cloth, shampoo, toothbrush &amp; tooth paste. No mouth wash please.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Smiles Across the Miles<\/strong><br>October 1 &#8211; December 1<br>At the Children&#8217;s Center in the Central Library<br>For ages 3-12 years<br>Children and their caregivers are invited to created greeting cards for Monroe County homebound individuals.<br>Registration is not required. In October, we&#8217;ll be sharing bookmarks for patrons to decorate and then donate back. These bookmarks will be distributed to folks in need. In November, we&#8217;ll be sharing card making supplies to thank our Veterans. Patrons can decorate cards and we&#8217;ll destribute to Veterans. In December, we&#8217;ll be sharing card making supplies for Shut Ins. Patrons can decorate a holiday card and we&#8217;ll distribute locally.<br>No registration necessary. Fitton lost his life in a tragic car accident at the age of 20 in August 2003. A young athlete who towered over us at 6 foot 6, his giant came not from his height, but from the size of his heart. Matt was always ready with a smile or a hug to share, and a willingness to help those in need.
