“Allergy Friendly” Hygiene Supply Drive<\/strong>

Help us support the Avon Food Pantry & Stone’s Closet by donating unopened hygiene products like hand soap, dish soap, shampoo & conditioner, deodorant, socks, period products, and more! All donations will be gratefully accepted, but we hope you\u2019ll consider shopping for unscented, hypoallergenic products for our 2026 Great Give Back!

Cranberries and Crackers for The Blessing Room<\/strong>

The library will have a collection box in the lobby to collect boxed crackers and canned cranberries for the local food pantry, The Blessing Room. These items were specifically requested by the pantry for Thanksgiving boxes.

Coloring books for Livingston County Sheriff<\/strong>

Please donate crayons, coloring books, and gently used kid\/teen books for the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. They distribute them to kids and teens when they go on calls.

We will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items and personal care items to help keep our Little Free Pantry stocked. Food items must be unexpired and unopened. Personal care items must be unused and unexpired.
Donations can be dropped off any time the library is open. Monday-Friday 8:30am-7pm and Saturday 9am-2pm
Examples of non-perishable food items include; peanut butter, jelly, pasta\/sauce, tuna fish, soups, canned fruit and vegetables, rice, cereal (hot & cold), mac & cheese.
Examples of personal care items include; socks (adult and children),deodorant, soap\/body wash, pads\/tampons\/panty liners, shampoo\/conditioner, first aid supplies, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be accepting donations for local animal shelters. Suggested donations included cat and dog food, items must be unexpired and unopened, clean bedding and blankets, cleaning supplies such as disinfecting wipes, paper towels, etc. litter, and play items.
Donations can be dropped off any time the library is open.

The Five Ingredient Challenge<\/strong>

The Five Ingredient Challenge: We’re challenging our community to purchase five shelf-stable food items to help feed people during this challenging time. The items are: black beans or lentils, 10 lb bag of rice, 1 lb. pasta, jar of peanut butter, and jar of spaghetti sauce. The average cost to purchese these items costs between $15 and $25 depending on whether generic or name brand items are purchased. Items may be dropped off at the Macedon Public Library, 30 West Main Street in Macedon, New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Great Give Back campaign 2026 the Marion Public Library is partnering with the Humane Society of Wayne County. We will collect much-needed items from our library patrons from October 1\u201330. Help support animals in our community!

Winter Weather Drive<\/strong>

This year, the Mount Morris Library is partnering with CORE \u2013 The Learning Center, a community-based adult education program serving Livingston County and the surrounding region. Their Winter Weather Drive is collecting new and gently used winter clothing and weather-related items to help local individuals and families prepare for the colder months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re collecting the following items in new or gently used condition:
-HATS
-MITTENS
-BLANKETS
-SOCKS
-SCARVES<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your donations help ensure our neighbors have the warmth they need BEFORE the weather takes a turn for the worse.
Stop in anytime the library is open to drop off your donation.
Library hours: Mondays & Fridays 11am \u2013 5pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 11am \u2013 7pm, Saturdays 10am \u2013 1pm, Wednesdays & Sundays CLOSED. We will also be closed on October 12th.

The Great Give Back Hygiene Item Collection Drive<\/strong>

The Red Jacket Community Library will be receiving donations of personal hygiene items beginning on October 1 and running through October 17. All hygiene items are welcome. The items will be used to stock the Library’s Hygiene Pantry. Overflow items will be donated to the local Twin Cities Food Cupboard. The following items are in highest demand: shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand soap and body wash.
Anyone is welcome to donate by stopping by the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Library will be accepting non-perishable food and care items for the Williamson Come Unity Food Cupboard and new pet supplies and kennel cleaning supplies for the Humane Society of Wayne County. Donated food cupboard items and pet supplies should be dropped off during Library hours. The Library will have designated collection bins at the main desk. Items donated must be unopened, non-perishable and not expired.
